This page is part of the Valuein Terms of Service (the "Terms") and expands Terms §12, "Not investment advice". Capitalised words have the meanings given in the Terms. If this page and the Terms conflict, the Terms control.
In short: Valuein publishes general financial data and research tools, the same for everyone on the same Plan. We do not know your finances or goals, we do not tell anyone what to buy or sell, and we are not your adviser, broker or fiduciary. Valuein Data reproduces what companies filed with the SEC, which can later be corrected. AI can be wrong; figures from Valuein's tools carry a fact_id you can trace to the filing. You decide, and you check before relying. This summary helps you read the page; it is not a substitute for it.
1.What Valuein is
Valuein (as identified in the Terms) publishes financial data, software tools and documentation about public companies, made available on identical terms to everyone on the same Plan. The content of the Service is general and impersonal: the datasets, tools, screens, agent workflows and Documentation are the same for every subscriber on a Plan. When you point a tool, Agent or morning brief at companies you chose (for example, your watchlist), it retrieves and summarises information about those companies; it does not ask about or assess your financial situation, objectives, risk tolerance or holdings, and it does not recommend buying, selling, holding or sizing a position. Valuein publishes on a regular schedule and in response to new filings, not to promote any security, and receives no compensation from any issuer, and no compensation that varies with any investment decision a user makes.
2.What Valuein is not
Valuein is not registered as an investment adviser with the SEC or any state, is not a broker-dealer, is not a member of FINRA or SIPC, is not a commodity trading adviser or municipal adviser, and is not a financial planner, accountant, tax adviser or lawyer. Valuein does not receive, route or execute orders, does not hold anyone's money or securities, and has no custody of or discretion over any account. No trading capability is provided, and Valuein's Agents cannot place trades or move money.
Using the Service creates no advisory, fiduciary, brokerage or client relationship between you and Valuein.
3.No personalised advice, no recommendation
Nothing in the Service — Valuein Data, AI Output, Agent results, screens, rankings, valuations (including DCF, reverse-DCF, LBO and accretion/dilution tools), backtests, generated documents, alerts, briefs, the Documentation, the website, our social-media posts, or any message from Valuein — is:
- advice about whether any security or strategy is suitable for you or anyone else;
- a recommendation, solicitation or offer to buy, sell or hold any security or other financial instrument;
- an offer of investment-management, advisory or portfolio-management services; or
- a forecast or promise of any investment result.
Mentioning, including, excluding, ranking or flagging a company is not a recommendation about it.
4.Outputs execute your inputs
Many features compute on information you supply: the tickers you follow, watchlists and their weights, screen criteria, valuation assumptions (growth, margins, discount rate, terminal value), backtest rules, Agent goals, schedules and Signal conditions. The result — a screen, a valuation, a backtest, a brief, an Agent's report — is arithmetic or model output produced from parameters you chose. It is your work product. Valuein does not review it for suitability and expresses no view on whether any position, weight or transaction is right for you. Changing your inputs changes the output; the output means nothing more than "these are the consequences of these assumptions".
5.Backtests and models are hypothetical
Backtest, simulation and model results are hypothetical. They were not achieved by any real account, are prepared with the benefit of hindsight in the choice of rules and parameters even when the data used is point-in-time, ignore or approximate costs such as commissions, spreads, slippage, taxes, borrow and market impact, and do not reflect the effect of real trading on the decisions you would have made. Past results, actual or hypothetical, do not indicate future results. A point-in-time backtest certificate attests only the narrow claim recited in its signed payload (see Terms §14).
6.Valuein Data reproduces filings, and filings change
EDGAR-Derived Data is derived from documents issuers filed with the SEC. Valuein reproduces values as the issuer filed them and applies standardisation and calculations that the Documentation describes. Issuers make mistakes, mistag XBRL, amend and restate. Point-in-time views show what was filed and accepted at a given date; later restatements can change current values and some derived results. Valuein's processing can also contain errors. Market Data comes from third-party vendors and is subject to their limitations. Valuein Data may be incomplete, delayed or wrong; check any figure that matters against the filing before relying on it.
Observations about issuers (for example, the Restatement Radar) are mechanical comparisons of filed values and state nothing about any person's conduct (see Terms §13).
7.AI Output may be wrong
AI Features use language models that can misread, misstate, omit or invent information, including figures, and can sound confident when wrong. Valuein designs its tools so that figures are returned as data with a fact_id, a source filing, a unit and a period, and instructs its models never to invent a number — but a model can still restate a figure wrongly, attach it to the wrong period or company, or write a number that did not come from a tool. A figure without a fact_id link was not supplied by Valuein's data tools. Use the fact_id (or verify_fact_lineage in the MCP Server) to trace a figure to its filing, and review AI Output before you rely on it, publish it or give it to anyone. See the AI & Agents Terms.
8.Research published by other users
Theses, claims, reports, profiles and track records published by users are the views of their authors, not Valuein's. Authors may hold positions in the securities they discuss. Valuein does not review, verify or endorse them before publication. Track-record scores are computed by a fixed method from published items, are not verified investment performance, and can change when filings are restated.
9.Your own obligations
You alone make your investment, trading and business decisions. Do your own research and consult licensed professionals where appropriate. If you are a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, bank, insurer, fund or other regulated person, or if you advise or publish to others, you remain responsible for your own compliance — including suitability, supervision, books and records, marketing and performance-advertising rules, substantiation and disclosures. Valuein is a vendor to you, not part of your compliance program. Verify any figure against the original filing before using it in advice, marketing, a client deliverable or a regulatory submission.
