What is point-in-time accuracy, and why does it matter?

Accepted Answer

Every fact carries the timestamp the SEC accepted its filing. That lets a backtest see only what was genuinely knowable on any past date, so later restatements can't leak future information into your results. Pro sees the date; Institutional sees the intraday time.

How quickly does new data appear after a company files?

Accepted Answer

The standardized dataset (facts, filings, ratios) is published in weekly releases on every plan, so a filing accepted this week is queryable after the next release; prices, index membership and reference tables refresh on trading days. Institutional adds filing-event webhooks that push each new filing to your endpoint within the hour of SEC acceptance. Enterprise: sub-minute push by contract. Do you store my Anthropic or OpenAI API key?

Never in plaintext. Your key is sealed in a 24-hour encrypted, httpOnly cookie — and so scheduled agents can run while you're away, the encrypted ciphertext is also kept in a key vault, which you can opt out of when you connect or clear in one click. You pay your model provider directly. We never use your key, your prompts or your research to train anything.

Is it safe to let AI agents run on my subscription?

That's the design centre. Managed runs execute at temperature 0 with a model allow-list and destructive tools removed. Anything irreversible is staged for your approval and recorded in an immutable audit log. Every figure an agent cites carries a fact_id that traces back to the filing it came from, so you can check any number it prints.

Can I redistribute Valuein data in my product?

Institutional includes a commercial redistribution licence for the SEC-derived data — ship it to clients or build a product on top, with attribution. Historical stock prices are the exception: they're licensed to us by market-data vendors and carry no redistribution rights at any tier. Sample, S&P 500 and Pro are internal-use only.

Do you cover foreign companies (ADRs, foreign private issuers)?

Pro includes 20-F and 40-F filers — the international and Canadian names listed on US exchanges, such as Alibaba, SAP, ASML and Shopify. Institutional adds 6-K interim reports and the full foreign-issuer universe.

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Monthly plans stop at the end of the billing period. Annual plans are non-refundable past the refund window, but you can switch off auto-renewal whenever you like. Full terms at /terms.
