Acceptable Use Policy

Effective 2026-10-01 · Version 2026-10-01

What changed in this version

  • First published version of the Acceptable Use Policy, now part of the Terms.
  • Sets out the rules on markets, people, security, access limits and Credentials.
  • Protects Valuein's compilation, not the public facts in SEC filings.
  • Explains how we enforce the rules and how to tell us you disagree.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Valuein Terms of Service (the "Terms") between you and Valuein (as identified in the Terms). Capitalised words not defined here (Account, Agent, AI Output, Credentials, Plan, Published Content, Seat, Service, User Content, Valuein Data, and the License Schedule terms) have the meanings given in the Terms or in the Data & API License Schedule. If this AUP and the Terms conflict, the Terms control.

In short: use Valuein to research companies and build your own analysis. Do not use it to deceive markets or people, attack the Service or other users, get around your Plan's limits, or copy Valuein's compilation into something that replaces the Service. You are responsible for everything done through your Account and your Credentials, including by your Agents. If you break these rules we may warn you, remove content, suspend you or close your Account; for credential sharing, scraping and market manipulation we may act immediately. This summary helps you read the policy; it is not a substitute for it.

1.Who this applies to

This AUP applies to every person who uses the Service under the Terms, and to every Agent acting through an Account or Credentials. An Agent's conduct is your conduct. If you configure, approve or run an Agent, you must not let it do anything this AUP forbids you to do.

2.Markets and investors

You must not use the Service, Valuein Data or AI Output to:

  1. Manipulate a market. Including creating a false or misleading appearance of trading activity or of the price of a security, spreading information you know or should know is false to move a price, spoofing, wash trading, or coordinated trading schemes.
  2. Run a pump-and-dump or any scheme to promote a security in order to sell it into the demand you create.
  3. Scalp or tout without disclosure. You must not recommend or describe a security in public while you, or someone you act for, intend to trade against that recommendation without disclosing it; and you must not describe a security in exchange for payment from an issuer, underwriter or dealer without fully disclosing that payment and its amount (Securities Act of 1933 §17(b), 15 U.S.C. §77q(b)).
  4. Trade on, or share, material non-public information, or upload, store or publish material non-public information or another person's confidential information that you are not permitted to disclose.
  5. Mass-produce misleading financial content, by hand or with AI: publishing at volume theses, claims, reports, posts or profiles that are false, that present AI Output as verified fact when it is not, that invent or alter figures, that misstate a figure's source, or that misrepresent the author's track record, identity, credentials or positions.
  6. Provide services you are not licensed to provide, such as personalised investment advice to others for compensation, where the law requires registration you do not hold. Using the Service does not make Valuein responsible for your regulatory obligations (see the Financial Disclaimer).

3.People and identity

You must not:

  1. Impersonate Valuein, an issuer, a regulator, a fund, an analyst or any other person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with any of them — including through a profile, handle, display name, avatar, report, or Agent-generated content.
  2. Harass, threaten, defame or dox anyone, including issuer personnel and individuals named in public filings, or publish another person's personal information beyond what a public filing already discloses and what your analysis reasonably needs.
  3. Publish or store illegal content, including content that infringes intellectual-property rights (see the Copyright & DMCA Policy), violates privacy or publicity rights, promotes violence, or exploits minors.

4.Security of the Service

You must not:

  1. Upload or transmit malware, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, gain unauthorised access to, or spy on any system.
  2. Probe, scan or test the security of the Service, or attempt to bypass authentication or authorisation, except as permitted by — and within the scope and rules of — our Security & Responsible Disclosure Policy. Research that follows that policy is authorised and is not a breach of this AUP.
  3. Access any Account, data, endpoint or part of the Service you are not authorised to access, including another user's User Content.
  4. Impose load that impairs the Service: denial-of-service, request floods, or any traffic pattern that degrades the Service for others, whether or not it stays under a published rate limit.
  5. Attack the Service's AI Features with prompt injection: embedding instructions in User Content, uploads, Published Content, filenames, profiles or any other input that is designed to make Valuein's agents or models ignore their instructions, reveal system prompts, Credentials or other users' data, take actions their user did not ask for, or exceed your Plan. Quoting adversarial text inside genuine research (for example, discussing a filing that contains it) is not a violation if you do not aim it at the Service.

5.Access, limits and Credentials

Valuein Data is made available through the Service's interfaces at the Plan you hold. Your rights to Valuein Data are set out in the Data & API License Schedule; these rules protect access to the Service.

You must not:

  1. Scrape or use automated access outside the official interfaces. Automated access is permitted only through the Bulk API (data.valuein.biz), the MCP Server (mcp.valuein.biz), the valuein-sdk Python package, and other interfaces the Documentation describes for automated use, each within your Plan. Crawling, scraping or harvesting the website, the Workspace, the public company pages, the Documentation or any other part of the Service by bots, headless browsers or scripts is not permitted. This does not restrict ordinary search-engine indexing that our robots.txt allows.
  2. Circumvent limits, quotas or technical measures, including rate limits, download quotas, Plan gating, paywalls, Sample Plan restrictions, authentication, metering, or any non-numeric identifiers we attach to responses for leak detection.
  3. Evade limits with multiple identities or addresses: rotating IP addresses, proxies, VPN exits or user agents; or creating or using multiple Accounts, free sign-ups or Credentials, to obtain more access than one Plan provides.
  4. Share, sell, rent, lend or publish Credentials, including API tokens and MCP tokens, or let anyone other than the Seat holder use them. One Seat is one named person. An Agent may use your Credentials only while it acts for you alone (see Terms §5).
  5. Use the Service through someone else's Account or after we have suspended or terminated your access.

6.Valuein's compilation

The facts in SEC filings belong to no one, and anyone may obtain the filings from the SEC. What these rules protect is the Service and Valuein's selection, arrangement, standardisation, mappings, validations and calculations as delivered through it.

You must not:

  1. Build a competing dataset or "shadow database": systematically copy Valuein Data obtained through the Service to assemble a database, feed, API, model or product that substitutes for the Service, in whole or in a substantial part, for you or anyone else. Your own Cached Data and Derived Work, used within the License Schedule, are not a shadow database.
  2. Benchmark for a competitor without consent: as, or on behalf of, a provider of a competing data product, run comparative benchmarks, accuracy audits or performance tests of the Service for that product's development or marketing, without our written consent. Nothing in this Policy or the Terms limits anyone's right to write or publish an honest review, comparison or assessment of the Service, including accuracy findings (Consumer Review Fairness Act, 15 U.S.C. §45b).
  3. Reverse engineer the pipeline: attempt to derive Valuein's concept mappings, standardisation rules, validation and identity logic, extraction methods or source code from the Service's outputs or software, beyond what the Documentation discloses. The published schema, catalog and Documentation may be used freely to work with the Service. Where a law gives you a right to reverse engineer that cannot be waived by contract — for example, for interoperability under 17 U.S.C. §1201(f) — that right is not affected.
  4. Train models or redistribute except as the Data & API License Schedule permits (Model Training and Redistribution are defined and governed there).

7.Enforcement

We decide what to do based on how serious the conduct is, whether it is repeated, the risk to other users, issuers, investors or the Service, and what you do once we contact you. Our options include:

  1. Warning — we tell you what is wrong and what to change.
  2. Removal or restriction — we remove or hide Published Content or other User Content, revoke a public share or handle, pause an Agent or automation, or reduce your rate limits.
  3. Suspension — we suspend your Account or Credentials while we investigate or until you fix the problem.
  4. Termination — we close your Account and revoke your Credentials.

Immediate action. For credential sharing or resale, scraping or automated access outside the official interfaces, evasion of limits through multiple Accounts or rotating addresses, market manipulation (including pump-and-dump, undisclosed touting or scalping), malware, and attacks on the Service, we may suspend or terminate immediately and without a prior warning. We will tell you what we did and why, unless the law or a legitimate investigation prevents it.

Fees. If we terminate for your material breach of this AUP, fees already paid for the current billing period are not refunded, except where the Terms or the law give you a refund right (for example, the EU/UK consumer withdrawal right described in the Terms).

Telling us you disagree. If you think we got it wrong, write to legal@valuein.biz with your Account email and your reasons. We will review it and reply.

Reporting to authorities. We may report conduct we believe is unlawful — including suspected market manipulation or securities fraud — to the SEC, FINRA, law enforcement or another competent authority, and may preserve records relevant to it.

8.Reporting abuse

Report a violation of this AUP to legal@valuein.biz. Include the URL or other location, what you saw, and how to reach you. Report a security vulnerability to security@valuein.biz under the Security & Responsible Disclosure Policy. Report copyright infringement under the Copyright & DMCA Policy. Report an inaccurate observation about an issuer through the correction process in Terms §13.
